This fundamental truth is evident in countless examples from our daily lives. The same interconnectedness applies to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each goal is intertwined with the others, and at the heart of achieving these goals are three essential pillars: education, awareness, and collaboration.

At TwoWings, we see education as the bridge that links various Sustainable Development Goals and accelerates progress. The projects we support demonstrate how education connects with the SDGs.  

Education empowers community-led environmental restoration and sustainable development. 

Our Initiatives: Education in Action 

1.Supporting Small and Micro Enterprises, and Climate Action 

In collaboration with FUNDAEC, our current project in the Norte de Cauca Region of Colombia focuses on fostering small and micro enterprises that contribute to climate action:  

• Food Security (SDG 2): The harvested fruit from the planted trees enhances nutrition. 
• Restoration of Fertile Soils (SDG 15): Composting facilities are established, compost is applied, and soil health is restored. 
• Economic Growth (SDG 8 & SDG 1): Entrepreneurship in nurseries and composting facilities. 
• Climate Action (SDG 13): Fruit and useful trees are planted, and sustainable land use is promoted. 

By providing participants with education and practical skills, progress is made across multiple SDGs. 

2.Education, Environment, and Health 

In Zambia, we support the Inshindo Foundation in implementing its program focused on education, environment, and health: 

• Education (SDG 4): Basic education is provided. 
• Public Health (SDG 3): Combatting pollution and deforestation; together, new trees are planted. 
• Community Collaboration (SDG 17): Partnerships with other NGOs and local authorities. No one accomplishes something small—many achieve great things. 

TwoWings serves SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 15, and 17 through supporting education and sustainable initiatives. 

Amplifying Impact

Raising awareness is key to spurring action toward achieving the SDGs. NGOs play an essential role in mobilizing collective efforts through education and collaboration.
